Welcome to web site of the Maple Capital of the World, Plessisville. The entire population joins me in wishing you a great visit the next time you are in Plessisville. In our town, all members of the community are involved in the development of the local economy. This top priority provides both a focus for our efforts and a means of measuring our results.

In order to keep a good balance between the quality of life in our town and an acceptable tax rate, we must offer adequate services at a reasonable cost. In so doing we hope to encourage our work force to settle in town. We spare no effort in attracting new investors and residents.

Plessisville is a flourishing town, which has followed the example of other well-organised cities, by providing our population with what it really needs. In this spirit Plessisville is guided by the motto “Méliora Paramus” or “We are preparing for better things”.

Sonia Gosselin, councillor

I am responsible for the leisure and cultural activities in Plessisville. I represent the most versatile and characteristic district of our town.

I am in charge of the road system and the environmental safety department. I would enjoy meeting anyone interested in finding out more about the quality of life in Plessisville.

Michel Gosselin, councillor

I am an official of the Town-Planning Commission and a member of the board of directors of the Institut Québécois de l’Érable inc. I am also responsible for recycling and I am the head of the Urban Energy Conservation Committee.
